Frequently Asked Questions
Is pixelation actually irreversible?expand_more
Yes. Unlike a blur, real mosaic pixelation works by shrinking the region down to a handful of averaged color blocks and scaling it back up — the original pixel detail is permanently discarded, not just visually obscured, so it cannot be reconstructed by sharpening or AI upscaling.
When should I use Solid Block instead of Pixelate?expand_more
Use Solid Block when you want to guarantee absolutely no information is visible — for example, redacting a document field or account number. Pixelate preserves a sense of shape and color while still fully obscuring fine detail like facial features or small text.
Can I redact multiple areas in the same image?expand_more
Yes, click "Add Another Area" to place as many independent redaction boxes as you need, each positioned and resized separately.
